ABOUT INSTRUMENT RESTORATION

I graduated from Texas Christian University in 1975 with a Bachelor of Music Education. After graduation I began my repair career under the supervision of my mentor, Bob Stailey. I began my apprecnticeship in 1975 with Bob at C&S Music in Fort Worth, TX. At the time the store was located on Belknap Street. I have since repaired instruments for the following companies: Meridith Wilson Music (LaPorte) , Brook Mays Music (Houston), Barth's Band Shoppe (Stafford), and Band Instrument Exchange(Houston). I earned my Master of Education degree from the University of Houston in 1985. I now work in my "one man" shop, Instrument Restoration, in Sugar Land, TX.

Instrument Restoration began in March of 2000. After working for other music stores I decided to "go off on my own". It has been a rewarding experience. It is my goal to move forward learning new techiques and constantly learning the craft of woodwind repair. The company is located in Sugar Land, Texas. Sugar Land is located in Fort Bend county, southwest of the Houston metropolitan area. Please send inquires for woodwind repair to: Instrument Restoration, 12726 Newberry Street, Sugar Land, TX 77478.

I wish to thank all that have contributed to my expertise in the repair field. In addition to Bob Stailey I would like to thank Bob Hester, Bill Barth, Ray Lennox, and Bobbi Prewitt. I also want to thank my wife, Robyn, and my two sons for their patience and understanding, letting me do what inspires me as a craft and art form.

**NOTICE: In the past there has not been an upcharge for plating done for me by Anderson Silver Plating. However, due to the increased amount of labor time involved in preparing the keys, posts, rings, etc. along with the added labor of fitting keys and resizing the key barrels to accept the steels I will be adding a flat $100 charge for plating above the amount billed to me by Anderson Silver Plating and applicable shipping fees. This charge will be in effect at the time of this posting. Thank you for your patronage and understanding.
We accept MasterCard, Visa, and Discover via PayPal. There is a 90-Day warranty on all repairs. Price of shipping, labor, and parts is non-refundable. However, I will work towards positive customer satisfaction at all times.
